Music Video

This is my music video.  My partner that I worked together with to complete this project was Grant Cipollone.  The song we used was "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day.  The project was long, took a lot of planning, and required us to think outside of the box.  I am glad to have worked with Grant because he was a great help and our different talents benefited each other well.  For example, Grant was better at filming and planning the filming while I did better at compiling the footage and editing it. Because of this, Grant filmed most of it and I did the editing.  We both helped greatly during both parts of the project.  Also, without the help of the extras during filming, we would not have been able to film as good of a music video as we did.

I am very proud of the job we did when it came to the planning.  It took us multiple days to plan out the filming and what scenes we wanted to make.  One would propose ideas and the other one would either approve it or deny it and provide an alternative.  It was a very progressive system.

Overall, I am very happy with the way the music video came out and I wouldn't have done much of anything to change it.

Filming: First Scene

 We decided that the first scene could be filmed at a separate time than the rest of the scenes because of its location. Not only that, this was filmed on a separate date. The script was changed to compensate this. The camping trip was scheduled for a later date rather than later that day in the story to maintain continuity. All group members and cast members were not together for this shoot, as we didn't need to be. There are no group parts in this scene besides ones that will be edited in. We got in a voice call together for communication purposes as the first shot was filmed. There needed to be two phones utilized for this shot, as the shot consisted of a phone on a table. Only phone cameras will be recording every scene, and this was no different, which is where the second phone comes in. Intro & Group Blog: Final Task

 I am Nicholas Arnold, an 11th grader at Fort Lauderdale High. After the success of the previous project I worked on, I am excited to work on a new project with my improved editing skills. I feel that I am now fairly competent at editing footage. It would be an ideal scenario if I could use that skill in a group. This why I am choosing to participate in a group with Grant Cipollone. I have chosen to be in the same group for 3 separate reasons. The first is that Grant has good camerawork and can create great footage to use off of our ideas. This is something that I don't feel as confident with, so a project would turn out better with him filming scenes. Secondly, I am more knowledgeable of the editing software and can create a good final project with the footage given. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? This commercial is targeted towards anyone with underlying medical conditions that could lead to constant uncontrollable headaches, specifically those who seek a solution to this condition. The commercial primarily advertises a product that is meant to fix these issues. The main goal of the commercial is to get the targeted audience to buy the product advertised by making a convincing plea that the product is worth buying. Migraines are an issue in many people's lives and this advertisement is an attempt at reaching this audience, and their wallets.
