Planning for my Music Video

 -The title of the song the music video will be using is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. Since the song is meant to create a full story, it will be using a darker tone and will be filmed at night. This also means it will be much different to the actual music video, with the original having no real story that relies more on the lyrics. The story roughly involves several scenes of a main character walking around with a dog, as the usual music videos of this genre do. The second half, however, will have the main character get their dog stolen from them out of their hands, and a moment of heartbreak. We will be planning based off of this rough outline.
-There will be walking around at night, but much less of it than the original music video. The scenes will be filmed at Grant's house around the front yard, back yard, and the middle of the street out front. The scenes in the street will be where the dog is on a leash, and there will be multiple people on the road. Not many cars drive down this street, so there will not be many interruptions to deal with. Any other scenes of characters standing still, establishing shots, and walking around will take place in the dark inside or after the sun goes down outside. Filming dates will be in between 11/24-11/28.
-There are not many costumes and props in this music video, as the characters stay in the same place for most of the time and do not have many items. What is used is the leash and collar for the dog, to be used in the street when it is being walked. There could be other props, like a phone that the main character would check or put to their ear, but nothing else that hasn't been finalized. Since this is more of a serious video, the costumes will be nothing special, maybe a polo and shorts for the main character.
-If there are any complications in the shooting of the music video, there will have to be drastic story changes. The video relies on the dog being available, and being outside for most of the shots. There will have to be a new story without the dog, keeping a similar tone and some scenes of walking around a street. It might be difficult to complete the original idea completely inside, so the story might have to change there as well.

 We decided that the first scene could be filmed at a separate time than the rest of the scenes because of its location. Not only that, this was filmed on a separate date. The script was changed to compensate this. The camping trip was scheduled for a later date rather than later that day in the story to maintain continuity. All group members and cast members were not together for this shoot, as we didn't need to be. There are no group parts in this scene besides ones that will be edited in. We got in a voice call together for communication purposes as the first shot was filmed. There needed to be two phones utilized for this shot, as the shot consisted of a phone on a table. Only phone cameras will be recording every scene, and this was no different, which is where the second phone comes in.  I am Nicholas Arnold, an 11th grader at Fort Lauderdale High. After the success of the previous project I worked on, I am excited to work on a new project with my improved editing skills. I feel that I am now fairly competent at editing footage. It would be an ideal scenario if I could use that skill in a group. This why I am choosing to participate in a group with Grant Cipollone. I have chosen to be in the same group for 3 separate reasons. The first is that Grant has good camerawork and can create great footage to use off of our ideas. This is something that I don't feel as confident with, so a project would turn out better with him filming scenes. Secondly, I am more knowledgeable of the editing software and can create a good final project with the footage given. This commercial is targeted towards anyone with underlying medical conditions that could lead to constant uncontrollable headaches, specifically those who seek a solution to this condition.
