Filming: Rehearsal Pt.2
SCENE 3 cont'd
There isn't any conversation until the main character is asked to get firewood, and then they agree. This means that in an ideal situation, there wouldn't need to be much ambient sound recorded until the dialogue starts here. This would cut out a lot of the static. However, this would mean a cut is needed right at that time. I think the camera could be positioned at wider shots of everyone, before zooming in on an over-the-shoulder shot of the character being asked to get firewood. Then a close zoom-in of the flashlight with the hand reaching to grab it, and a shot from behind leaving the camp site.
SCENE 4- Chase scene in woods
The chase scene will be the one that is the most improvised. This scene will be the one that is adjusted to accompany the allotted time. There will be a lot of recording from many different angles. From build-up shots to full-on running, this will be experimented on. The scene will be ended on a cut to black and a scream, likely recorded during shooting. This could be due to a shadowy figure, which is a concept we will be trying but maybe not using. Another idea that could be used is the sticks (picked up throughout the trip) would drop to the floor in dramatic fashion. The scene will play out how we think is right during that time.
SCENE 5- Morning at campsite
There will be some establishing shots to indicate that its morning. After that characters will come out of their tents. This could be with close-ups of people or wider shots with everyone coming out periodically. They will group up towards the center of camp (could potentially have a fireplace) and discuss where MC is. This scene could be longer to accompany the allotted time, but it will most likely be short with a few lines.
SCENE 6- Walking and finding a dead body
The camera will follow alongside the group as they walk, and slowly pan to the spot where the "dead body" is located. The intro will end with one character screaming to the sky and a fade out upward.
