Planning for my medication commercial

 Props:

A scene could involve two people sharing drinks together, and their glasses would be used as props. Another scene could involve someone golfing, and their prop would be a their golf club.

Costumes:

Since these types of commercials are meant to portray ordinary people doing simple things, the characters will be in regular clothes, ones you would normally wear outside in Florida weather. This further increases the relatability of the characters then they otherwise would in a different costume.

Schedule:

10/22 I used my prior knowledge and research to come up with an outline and plan for the 30 seconds.

10/23 I established the props, costumes, schedule, set location and backup plan.

10/27 I will create the storyboard for the scene/scenes in the commercial

10/28 I will film all the necessary shots for each scene.

10/28-29 I will dump and edit all of the footage.

Set Location:

I will be filming on my front yard for most of the shots, with the characters either sitting on the front porch together or swinging by a tree and talking to one another. Some of the shots will be inside of the house, for close ups of faces and expressions during the beginning, more dark portion. There could also be shots taken in the backyard as well, all visuals to play while the voice over lists things off.

Backup Plan:

If there is a thunderstorm or anything like that, the shots from inside will have no effect, but there will have to be adjustments for outside shots. Only the front porch shots could be taken, and even then there would need to be a way where there wouldn't be any rain showing and the lighting will need to be right. The back porch could work as well, but there is a similar issue with that.

The specific product will be decided on by the next blog entry.
